Great poles for the price

I hike with poles due to sciatica pain and a bad knee and these work great for me. I also intend to use them for snowshoeing in the future. They were inexpensive too. I'm only 4'10" and they adjust easily and to a comfortable height.

Shipped three poles to my sister's home prior to joining her and my brother-in-law on a hiking trip. Poles set up easily and performed well up and down hill. Removable knob on top to create mono-pod for camera nice touch. My sister has has knee issues due to a life time of running and she was thankful for having a way to take some load off. Only issue is TSA who won't let a folded up pole on the plane as a carry-on...you have to check the pole.

Handle is comfortable and the staff seems very sturdy. Purchased one for my Scout son too and he likes using the camera mount for documenting his Troop hikes.

My old hiking pole finally bit the dust after many years of loyal use...it was also from STP....I ordered this guy as the price was good and it is a good company! I love it...it is lightweight, easy to use, easy to lenghten and shorten and fits my hand well. I find these so handy when on mountain trails. i recommend this pole and STP as well! great service!
  • Great Buy!

Bought two of these to help with hiking on a bum knee. Pole height is easy to adjust, especially on the fly. Straps are large enough that your hand is not stuck. Anti-shock is very nice, especially when navigating downhill. Hand grip is comfortable.

Asked by Doug from North Carolina on 8/14/2014 3:27:13 PM
    • Yes, it does telescope for packing. I gave this away as a gift, so cannot measure the smallest length when tucked up. It seemed to be small enough for attaching to a backpack, which is the intended purpose of the gift.
