  • Well, it depends on what you call 'undue' pressure. I hike the Catskills, some of the rockiest, steepest, muddiest trails in the US, and they've worked great. I'm 5' 8", 165 lbs, and have never been concerned about them.||For the price, buy them. If you manage to break them under normal usage, you've set a baseline for what you really need - a pretty inexpensive lesson, I'd say.
