Nice budget priced trekking poles.

I have a pair of Komperdell lightweight trekking poles and felt it would be good to have a backup pair, plus my wife and daughters always want to borrow mine when they hike with me. The Mountainsmith poles seemed to be a good inexpensive option. They are well made but in comparison to my Komperdell poles, they are a little heavy. The pair is 12oz heavier and that is noticeable. To be fair...they cost considerably less and weight reduction comes with a price. For the money, these are sturdy, well made, easy to adjust and not TOO heavy trekking poles and I can certainly recommend them to anyone on a budget.
- Best Uses: Backpacking, Day trip, Hiking
- Cons: A little too heavy
- Pros: Easy to adjust, Reasonably priced, Strong
