Sturdy and comfortable

I did my first trekking-pole hike ever with these poles (17.2 miles w/ a 38 pound pack on the Vivian Creek Trail on Mt. San Gorgonio), so I have no comparison to other poles, but the stability they gave me, compared to no poles, was like night and day. They adjust easily, but are sturdy and stable when tightened. For the last mile or so, I had a slight irritation on the webbing of my thumb, but not even close to blistering. I will not do another hike without these poles.
