These are Great!

For the price, I don't think these can be beat. I used them at Artist Point at Mt. Baker to navigate the packed snow on the trail. I had on hiking boots and the melting snow patches were steep, uneven and slippery. The poles gave me a great sense of balance and there were a few times I used them to help pull myself up. Some of the trail was clear, and they worked great there as well. My husband usually leaves me in the dust, but he had no poles and I kept up with him easily. On the way back, I convinced him to try one of the poles and he was once again able to pull ahead. (Just as a side note, he will wait for me, but his legs are longer than mine!)
I felt like these helped my balance and allowed my arms to be part of the workout. I would definitely recommend them to a friend.
