I use this water bottle with my four year old but got one for my 15 month old because she loves using his. We are getting quite a collection! Leak proof as long as you have the insert in lid on tight. Easy to wash to avoid anything gross starting grow like some other bottles

  • “Is the spout on this flexible or hard plastic?”
Asked by Raymond, NE from Nebraska on 1/29/2016 7:54:21 PM
    • It's hard plastic, not like flexible rubber straw of a camelbak.

    • It is not flexible, but it isn't super hard. It's sort of a soft plastic over a hard plastic.

    • Hard plastic.

    • I was wrong- it is hard plastic. They were in the dishwasher (huge plus) so I was going off of memory.

About Nalgene

Stuffed in a backpack, dangling from a carabineer, or sitting on a desk - a Nalgene bottle tells a story of adventure. With a "tough as nails" demeanor, Nalgene bottles have earned the trust of outdoor enthusiasts for decades. Their virtually shatter-proof polycarbonate material survives sub-freezing to boiling temperatures, tumbles on rocky trails, and limitless creative - and maybe unintended - uses (they push in tent stakes with ease!) Nalgene bottles won’t retain odors, thus making ideal storage for snacks, powdered drinks, matches, shampoo and more. Not many know the history of Nalgene and the chemist who developed nearly indestructible polyethylene. But to Nalgene aficionados, there are some inherent truths... there’s no better place to put your favorite sticker and there’s no better way to warm your feet than a Nalgene bottle of hot water at the bottom of your sleeping bag.
