  • 5.0 out of 5 stars. Fast and Fun Kayak

My wife rode in this kayak first and thought that it was a little "tippy". We swapped boats next time we went out and I found that it wasn't tippy for me at all. I am a taller guy, 6'4" and found it comfortable. I wish the cockpit was a little longer and the foot pedals went a little further out (as my knees are quite bent), but beyond that, this kayak is comfortable and angles nicely. I LOVE the fact that this kayak features a rudder system. It makes the kayak turn on a dime and keeps it tracking very straight. It is a great touring kayak!
  • 4.0 out of 5 stars. Stability and Versatility

Have been thinking awhile on getting a kayak for recreational use as I live by an inland lake. Finally made the purchase and am very satisfied. Seat is very comfortable. The marks or issues on being a "2nds" are as described; likely to get similar marks on the kayak when used for the first time. Boat is very stable. I didn't use the rudder yet but really like the ease of steering with the rudder in windy or rougher water. I have a Kevlar canoe so the weight is heavy compared to that, but that is to be expected with poly. Bought foam pads for car transport and am happy with the performance over having to buy a roof rack. Can only carry one kayak at a time though with the foam. If you want to keep dry will need a half skirt over the opening since it is hard to paddle without some water entering the kayak. Very pleased.

Got the boat last week.[...] Was hard pressed to find ANY defects in the boat, since it was being sold as a 2nd. Went paddling on a small lake the next day and found that the boat handles very well and tracks straight as an arrow. [...]
