Look good, feel bad

I wear a 10.5 street shoe. Most athletic cut shoes, an 11. I ordered an 11.5 initially and the shoe was tight on the length. Exchanged for a size 12. Toes on both feet touched the front of the shoe. I tried them on and wore them in my house for few hours until my toes started to hurt from the abrasion, (YES, I wore the correct socks). Also, the toe-box is uber high. I don't anyone other than an ogre who may fit this, unless people are liking their feet to swim in their shoes. Back when, New Balance made a precision fitting shoe with a predictable result. Whoever screwed this up, good luck to you. I'll never order another NB again.
And evidently I never learn. This is the 2nd pair of NB I've ordered within the year with the exact problem. I thought the first time was just a fluke.
