The thick plastic piece that wraps the top of the foot cut into my ankle. Granted I have big ankles, but it seemed like the placement of the Boa wrap was all wrong. It should have been lower on the foot. I could tell the heel and tongue were going to dig in throughout a run. I bought one size up and really needed a half size up. I can't speak to the cushioning as I didn't even make it out the door with these shoes. Not impressed.

I've worn them multiple times, all day with no foot or back pain which is unusual for me. I have this same closure system on a pair of boots my horses use and it works great. Doesn't loosen and tightens equally. As with all New Balance, I wear a half size larger.

Unfortunately the 7.5 was a bit too short on one foot and the 8 was too big. I was a bit bummed that they didn’t work out.
