Verified Buyer Reviewed by John Meredith from Melbourne, Australia on Sunday, February 8, 2015You can't beat these minimalist shoes; I've tried most of them inc. Merrell's, Vibram and Nike Free. None of the others stack up.
I would recommend going 1 full size larger as they do wear small.
Excellent shoe otherwise. Highly recommended
Verified Buyer Reviewed by kelly from North Carolina on Monday, January 26, 2015These are my favorite shoes for trail running. They are also my boyfriend's favorite shoes for trail running. I have to buy the men's shoes now because they do not seem to make this exact style for women anymore. I used to twist my ankle and fall a lot when trail running, but I don't seem to have that problem in these shoes. I think it is because I can actually feel the ground under my feet and stabilize on uneven surfaces a little better.
We have hiked 70 miles on the Mountain to Sea Trail, and all over Mammoth Lakes California in these shoes. They are great because you have to ford rivers, and these shoes dry easily and remain light weight even when wet). They never disappoint me!
I have heard that these minimal shoes are not recommended for people who are not already physically active or are not already regular runners. I also would not recommend them for running on concrete alone. For hiking and running trails or in the woods, I cannot find a better shoe!
Verified Buyer Reviewed by M in Arkansas from Little Rock on Friday, January 16, 2015This is my second pair of these. I didn't buy these for running, but to wear to the gym. They are comfortable, have a wide toe box (so my toes can spread out) and are a lot lower to the ground than regular running shoes (great stability). I usually wear size 10 in Nike and Adidas, but 9.5 fits great in these. The only reason I gave 4 stars is because the package they arrived in was shredded (see pic). Not STP fault and the shoes were ok, but all the return info was messed up. Good thing they fit!
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Trail/Pavement runner from Philadelphia on Saturday, January 3, 2015This is my second pair of the Minimus MT10 V1. They are great for the trail and the road. The soles handle the rocks much better than the MT00's. I can't believe they stopped making these things. If you are lucky enough to find a pair in your size, snatch them up right away, you will never want to wear another trail shoe again.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by daniel from cleveland on Sunday, December 28, 2014I've had these a couple of weeks so far and am generally happy with them. I followed the suggestion to size up by 1/2 and am glad i did. they initially seemed a little narrow but I've either become accustomed to the width or they've stretched slightly. there's just the slightest room for a light liner-type sock to be worn with them. the sole is fairly thick for a "minimalist" shoe and they're more substantial than the trail gloves I also wear, I feel the ground a bit less in these.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by South Bay yogi from Los Angeles on Wednesday, December 3, 2014Nice minimalist style shoes. I got them to run on ground that features some gravelly rocks that hurt when I landed on them wearing Merrill trail glove shoes. These have a bit more padding on the sole, though they might be just as light. Problem solved!
Like others have said, I tried them on at a new balance store and needed to go up from my regular size 10.5 to an 11 in these. My toes were jammed up at the top in the 10.5.
One thing to watch out for: I found the laces to be pretty long, to the point that I managed to trip over my shoe lace the first time I took them out, doing a pretty good header running downhill as a result.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by bigmike from texas on Monday, November 24, 2014But great trail shoe and good for crossfit workout. The d width is pretty narrow so if u have Flintstone feet go wide ee. Great on sand but still feel the rocks on the rough terrain otherwise happy to have them for any short distance multifunction workout.
