As for question 2, I asked about depth of field, and you responded with field of view info that was in the specs. Field of view is the width visable at a defined distance and most makers use either 100 or 1000 yards to define this. Depth of field is the depth of the area of focus. Unlike photography, definition of depth of field in optics still varies by manufacturer, with some not yet providing this info at all.. ”

3. What kind(s) of defects make these binos a "2nd"?”
The close focus distance is 15". The field of vision at a 1000m is 430 ft. 2nds: Minor cosmetic blemishes or irregulars which do not affect the fit, performance, or longevity of the item.
