Reviewed by Mom of 8 from NC on Tuesday, January 28, 2014This is a well made boot, that fit well out of the box. Some heel slippage, but that is expected in a boot until they are broke-in to my feet. I wear a 10 and might could have gone with a 9.5, but I will just plan to wear thick socks with these and will keep them happily.
Reviewed by KellyP from Huntington Beach, CA on Monday, January 27, 2014Great pair of boots! They tend to run large - I normlly wear a 10 in boots so I originally ordered them in a size 10 - had to return them for a 9.5. Very comfortable boot. Only complaint is the leather on heel and surrounding toe has been polished with a black color polish. This comes off on the lighter colored suede as well as the ground you are walking on! I removed most of it before walking on light colored carpet and treated the suede with Kiwis protector. Overall would highly recommend this boot.
Reviewed by Coloradoan stuck in TX from DFW on Tuesday, November 12, 2013Love the look of these boots, as they go with everything! Quality is excellent. Not a tall cowboy boot either, rather hit at mid to upper calf. I like my boots roomy, so ordered a 9 , when I usually wear 8.5....these are almost 2 sizes too big. Might be the square toe style?

Reviewed by Bog Runner from Philadelphia on Saturday, October 12, 2013I ordered these boots a few weeks ago and so far I really like them. This is my first pair of cowboy boots so I am no expert. I normally wear a size 9 in running shoes and I ordered a size 9 in these boots despite the recommendation to order a 1/2 size down. Somewhere on another website I saw that people recommended ordering Nocona boots a 1/2 size up, so I figured I'd take the thinking out of it and just order my size and see what happens. It is normal for cowboy boots to "slip" in the heel initially and these did just that. However, after a day or two of wearing, the heel no longer slips. I think if I had followed the suggestion on the STP website to order a 1/2 size down, my toes would have jammed in the front and the boots would have been really difficult to get off my feet. I have worn these boots all day quite a few times and have done a lot of walking without any foot soreness or blisters. I am actually really surprised because the insole feels hard but it's quite comfortable.
The ONLY complaint I have (and this really can't be avoided) is that the black sole "scuffs" on the tan leather. It leaves black marks on the tan part making them look more worn. It probably means they'd mark floors if you have floors that mark easily. Since I'm new to leather shoes and cowboy boots, I do not know how to "care" for these boots, but I'm sure there is a way to clean them or something.
