Great Parka for the coldest days

I love this coat because it is really warm and beautifully constructed. I have worn it to work in -20 degree F weather. I was toasty warm. I like that it is shaped nicely and doesn't look like a boxy, puffy down coat. I love the magnet flap closures on the pockets and storm flap. I wear a size 12-14... Read More

  • Very Nice jacket

The jacket was very nice. My husband ordered this for my birthday. He got me red which is one of my favorite colors. The problem is that even after 26 years of marriage, he does not know how to figure out what size I am. For any males thinking of buying this for their female friends, check the sizes on their current jackets, that should at least get you in the right ball park. Needless to say I had to return my very nice jacket.
  • Perfect winter jacket

I’m loving this coat so much. The zipper is of great quality (something that has caused problems with past winter jackets). And I love the magnetic closures rather than snaps! The pockets are reinforced and I love the secret pocket along the zipper. It fits and flatters your figure so much better than a bulky parka, but with all the warmth of a cozy winter jacket.

I got the XL, which works well for me. I bought the olive color coat. It is an olive color that trends toward brown.

About Marmot

Conceived in a university dorm room by a pair of climbing buddies, Marmot Mountain Works first opened its doors in the spring of 1974 in Grand Junction, Colorado. At the time, the base of operations was a 100-year-old stone building. That same year, the first Marmot down jacket was produced specifically for an action flick called “The Eiger Sanction,” starring legendary actor Clint Eastwood. In the four decades since, Marmot has continued to engineer reliable gear that exceeds the expectations of outdoor athletes. Today, Marmot tents, backpacks, outerwear, clothing and Marmot sleeping bags are still pushing the limits in the planet’s most challenging conditions, from the summits of the world’s highest mountains to the deepest river basins.
