Great all-around ski pants with good features (full-length zips, ankle gaiters that snap). They don't have any insulation, which is why I gave them 4 stars instead of 5. I wore them twice for downhill skiing in Colorado in 20-25° weather (with a pair of fleece leggings underneath) and was comfortable but a little cold when not moving. Pockets are great. No complaints except would like a little more insulation.

I bought these for spring skiing. I haven't worn them yet. I did try them on and they fit me well. I am 5'7", 130 lbs. There are many helpful features to the pants. I am concerned that the snap, to open and close the gaiters, will be causing me discomfort and chaffing when it is inside of my ski boot. The snap is unnecessary to have, and is a very likely discomfort. It should be removed from the design of the pant.

These pants run very small. I normally wear a size 8. I ordered a 10. I knew when I took them out of the box and held them up that they were going to be too small. I could not even fasten them. Sending them back.

  • “Does the side zip go from top to bottom--full length of pant?”
Asked by Jennifer from United States on 2/5/2013 12:00:00 AM
  • “What is a natural waist? The waist that is measured for sizing? or the waist that sits on the hips?”
Asked by sampson from utah on 2/18/2011 12:00:00 AM
    • The rise on a natural waist positions the waistband – as the name implies – right at your natural waist, which is at your navel or just above it. The rise of a natural waist will measure around 11 to 12 inches from the crotch seam to the top of the band.

    • This waist is very high, at your waist, not at the hips.

About Obermeyer

When Klaus Obermeyer became one of Aspen’s first ski school instructors more than 60 years ago, he had no idea that his lifelong passion would eventually lead him to start an outdoor apparel company. Among Klaus’s first innovations was a down ski jacket he created at home using recycled goose down from an old comforter. Designed and tested on snow-covered slopes in the Colorado Rockies, Obermeyer ski jackets would soon gain a reputation for offering superior weather protection, warmth and style. Although Obermeyer ski pants and jackets have come a long way in the last half a century, the tradition of making top-notch outerwear for skiers and riders remains the foundation of this brand, which is still headquartered in Aspen to this day.
