5.0 out of 5 stars. Love this Coat!Verified Buyer Reviewed by Claudine Mailgirl from Rhode Island on Saturday, February 3, 2018This coat is SO warm. It's cute with it's snow-white shininess...Is that how you spell shiny-ness? Anyway, I bought the coat because I wanted a coat with a big hood to keep the snow out. This hood is so big it covers my head AND face and is weighed down by the (removable) fur trip. I don't care, either. I'm tired of having either a coat with no hood, or one that blows off whenever the wind blows.
Another plus is the cuffs inside the sleeves - NO chance of getting any snow down the sleeve and on your arms.
I wasn't sure about this coat when I opened the box because it was SO light, but it's a great coat! -
5.0 out of 5 stars. Beautiful jacketVerified Buyer Reviewed by This jacket is beautiful AND warm. I wanted something that would look nice when I go out socially on really cold days/nights, and still keep me warm. This fits the bill. It looks nicer than your average winter jacket, but is really warm. I especially like the fleece lining the back , neck, and cuff areas.....nice touch. The hood is huge, but the jacket itself does run quite small. I’d order a size up. from Buffalo, NY on Thursday, February 1, 2018This jacket is beautiful AND warm. 4.0 out of 5 stars. ****Verified Buyer Reviewed by Marie57 from Florida on Saturday, January 27, 2018Fits good. Ordered a 12 normally wear a 10 considering the layers will put underneath. Fits good. It is a little shiny but very cute! Will try it out next month on the slopes.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Too pretty to get dirty!Verified Buyer Reviewed by Laura the Biker from Virginia Beach on Tuesday, January 23, 2018It's a beautiful garment, and the faux fur fooled me. The black liner and cuffs are warm. The only reason I'm withholding a star is because of the lack of some functional pockets for snow sports, i.e. chest pocket, sleeve pocket, oh and pit zips are missing. I knew those features were lacking when I selected it, and I'm still deliberating about whether or not to keep it. It's going to be hard to send it back!

5.0 out of 5 stars. Fantastic JacketVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from Northern California (way north) on Friday, January 12, 2018I absolutely loved this jacket when it arrived. It was a bit large, so I ordered the same one in a smaller size, and it came today. The fit is perfect, made with quality materials, and I love the black current color. I'm 5'5", 135 lbs., with wide shoulders, and the 10 fits great. Love Sierra Trading Post's fast, efficient online service.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Warm and well made!Verified Buyer Reviewed by Carolyn in Carolina from South Carolina on Saturday, January 6, 2018I was so impressed with the warmth of this jacket. It arrived just in time for the wicked below freezing temperatures we are not used to getting in South Carolina! Wore it out while the temperature was 19 and I stayed warm! Love the sleeves and how they protect you from the cold. The detachable fur on the hood is very well constructed. Glad I made this purchase!

5.0 out of 5 stars. Nice looking jacketVerified Buyer Reviewed by Shebech from Reno on Thursday, February 16, 2017I got the Heather grey color and it looks very nice. The removable faux fur hood liner is a bit bulky, so I am glad I can easily take it off. I am 5'4 and about 135 lbs, I got the size 10 in petite and it fits perfect. I plan to wear it skiing, so there is plenty of room for a couple of light layers. I have not yet worn it on the slopes, so can't speak to the warmth, but Obermeyer is a quality brand that I expect will work great. It only has the 2 front hip zip pockets and an inside pocket located just under the left side zipper.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Runs large, very warmVerified Buyer Reviewed by Sonjmarie from Chicago on Wednesday, December 28, 2016I bought this for a cold (0 degree F) snowshoeing hike into a cabin wearing a backpack and pulling a sled. I was hoping for something that would breathe well and keep me warm. It did the job. I got the blue color and it's gorgeous! I got a lot of compliments on it. I was warm enough when hiking with just a base layer that I needed to unzip the coat. I took the fur off for the sportier activities, but put it back on for wearing around the city. I bought the size on the size chart to fit my bust measurement and I could have easily sized down one or two sizes. I kept it to wear with heavy layers, but doubt I'll ever need much layering as the jacket is so warm itself. I'm short and heavier (5'3" and 180 with a larger chest). I bought a 16 based on chest and waist measurement and there was a lot of room in the hips and stomach for me even though I carry my weight in the stomach. I like where the jacket hits on my hip, but it is on the shorter size for someone tall. The arms are long for me - if they had a petite in stock, I'd go for that in the future. The hood is way too big on me. I have trouble with hats fitting right, so if you have a small head, be prepared for the hood to fall over your eyes. You can snug it down, but with the fur, it is still blinding. The jacket has double cuffs with a really soft fleece that fit in my ski gloves well with loose enough outer cuffs to pull over the glove gauntlet. The fleece lining of the pockets is my favorite part - very cozy and keeps my hands warm in 30 degree weather without gloves.
