Most Helpful 5-Star Review
Verified Buyer Reviewed by SueinSydney from Sydney Australia on Wednesday, August 8, 2012Top of Obermeyer's range at a bargain price! After this season it was time to retire my trusty Mambo jacket which is now looking faded & grubby. I wanted a new jacket that was a little warmer, more waterproof and with newer technical features as well as lots of pockets, waist & wrist gaiters that I need. I can't wait to wear the Obermeyer Coco next year. The quality is apparent as soon as you try it on. The lining is a cleverly designed combination of stretch panels plus the beautiful silver satin fabric that many brands are using this year, and fleece panel in the back and on the collar. It just feels so soft and warm you don't want to take this jacket off, it is designed to move with you. Amazingly non-bulky, surprisingly lightweight, fits like a dream. The colour Sapphire is a gorgeous dark purple and I love the subtle streaky look of the Cocona fabric. The collar is well designed, very soft and comfortable and high cut with zipper offset so not in the way of your chin. I think I can leave the bulky neck gaiters at home so this is a bonus. The Coco is just the right length and the size 6 fits true to size. This is currently the top of Obermeyer's range and an amazing price from STP.I can't imagine finding a better ski jacket than the Coco, I think I will choose another Obermeyer when this jacket wears out. This model does not have the removal media pocket but there is an elasticated lycra pocket that fits iphones. 1 large zippered mesh interior pocket plus a goggle pocket. Love the sleeve pocket, handy for lip balm. So much attention to detail with the Coco. The waist gaiter snaps to the jacket when worn open so does not flap around and look odd. All manufacturers shd make sure they include lift pass pocket on left side of chest for resorts that use electronic gates. The Coco has Recco avalanche technology (used in New Zealand & other countries, see Recco site). The Coco is a beautiful jacket, I promise you will love it. Love the contrast coloured zips. Would STP please include photos of the inside of all ski jackets, this is very important when making a choice.
- Cons: none
- Pros: 4 external zip pockets, Amazingly comfortable, Beautiful Styling, Designed for movement, Extremely waterproof, Fits true to size, great lining, Lightweight but warm, Not bulky or puffy, Really flattering cut, Soft chinguard, Soft fabric not stiff

Verified Buyer Reviewed by Terry from Perth, Australia on Tuesday, June 26, 2012I bought this jacket for our next ski holiday in Japan. The reviews and technical features of this jacket helped me decide that this was the right jacket for me. I really feel the cold and purchasing a jacket which would keep me dry and warm was my number one priority. I am not disappointed and cannot wait to try it out on the slopes.

“Is this product advisable for mountain climbing conditions found in, say, Mt. Rainier or Mt. Baker in WA State?”
I would recommend the Obermeyer Coco Jacket more for skiing and snowboarding.
“How does this item fit on the small side or larger side|i am trying to figure out if I need a 4 or a 6”
It is semi fitted and will follow your shape. So it will be on the smaller side. Thanks for asking and have a great day.

The zipper is of set to the left, to avoid chin chaffing.
