I got this for both hikes and snowboarding. Preferred something with light insulation so that I can layer up as desired.
The thigh zip vents are really useful if you start sweating, specially during hikes!
    The zippers all work smoothly.
Was satisfied in the few times I used it (hike and snowboarding) till now , so can't assess durability.

Ordered these for my son who has been skiing quite a bit. The zipper on one of the pant legs already broke and the bottoms are fraying. Expected more from obermeyer. They may not make it to the end of this season.

I got these pants for the upcoming winter. I cannot comment about their waterproof or warm qualities as a result. However, I was surprised when I put them on how much I was able to move. The fit was perfect although the legs seemed a bit wide, however this is a style thing. My only real complaint about the pants is that they dont really have enough pockets. It would be nice if they had a few more.
    • Best Uses: Backcountry, Cross Country, Downhill, Hiking, Snowboarding/Skiing
    • Cons: No suspender snaps, Not Enough Pockets
    • Describe Yourself: Beginner
    • Gear Usage: Skiing
    • Inseam: Feels true to length
    • Pros: Articulated knees, Comfortable, Lightweight, Scuff pads, Stylish, Thigh vents
    • Waist: Feels true to size
    • Was this a gift?: No

About Obermeyer

When Klaus Obermeyer became one of Aspen’s first ski school instructors more than 60 years ago, he had no idea that his lifelong passion would eventually lead him to start an outdoor apparel company. Among Klaus’s first innovations was a down ski jacket he created at home using recycled goose down from an old comforter. Designed and tested on snow-covered slopes in the Colorado Rockies, Obermeyer ski jackets would soon gain a reputation for offering superior weather protection, warmth and style. Although Obermeyer ski pants and jackets have come a long way in the last half a century, the tradition of making top-notch outerwear for skiers and riders remains the foundation of this brand, which is still headquartered in Aspen to this day.
