This is one of the best on piste ski jacket I could find, imho. The fit is athletic and true. CBL of a small size is 28" (I think ~1" diff for every size change). Since I'm 5'6", it's always hard for me to find anything that's not too long. It's chock full of features and mostly appreciated. Ye... Read More

I love a lot of features of this jacket: it feels durable, it is warm, it has awesome pockets, and the way the sleeves work with your gloves is warm and ideal. However, the fit is somewhat awkward--the shoulders are wide but the fabric pulls when I lift my arms in front of me. Overall, not a deal breaker, just not ideal. I really wish the hood were insulated and less enormous. It fits a helmet and then some. I probably would have returned this jacket if I wouldn't have lost the shipping fee in the process--I'll just have to learn to love it.

Since I'm 5'6", it's always hard for me to find anything that's not too long. It's chock full of features and mostly appreciated. Yet all those features and the high waterproofing fabric add to the weight. I did not feel that it's bothersome at all though I would most likely not take this back-country. It's very well insulated. Obermeyer has an excellent website even though this year's design is different, the features are all the same except seam sealing, which is another reason not to take this back-country. STP price is excellent, as always. Hope it helps.

About Obermeyer

When Klaus Obermeyer became one of Aspen’s first ski school instructors more than 60 years ago, he had no idea that his lifelong passion would eventually lead him to start an outdoor apparel company. Among Klaus’s first innovations was a down ski jacket he created at home using recycled goose down from an old comforter. Designed and tested on snow-covered slopes in the Colorado Rockies, Obermeyer ski jackets would soon gain a reputation for offering superior weather protection, warmth and style. Although Obermeyer ski pants and jackets have come a long way in the last half a century, the tradition of making top-notch outerwear for skiers and riders remains the foundation of this brand, which is still headquartered in Aspen to this day.
