My chest measurement under my arms is 48". The XL size was too small. I measured the shirt under the arms and it was 46". I returned the shirt and got a 2XL (50-52) and it fit with not much room to spare - it measured 49". Other than size, the material, design, and finish are excellent. Perfect for a summer event or a Caribbean vacation. I ordered other "island print" shirts from Oliver & Burke and had the same sizing issue. Ding one star for the sizing issue.
