Closeouts. Often, runners must choose between cushioning and speed in their shoes, but advanced Swiss engineering provides the best of both worlds in these On Cloudsurfer running shoes. I'm preparing to run my first marathon and am so happy I found these shoes. Never heard of the company but tried them on along with all the name brands we have all heard of. • High performance shoe
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Early Morning Runner from Maine on Saturday, April 21, 2018
These shoes are light and highly responsive. The sole looks funny, and feels a bit odd when walking, but once running, they feel comfortable and quick. They are very light, even lighter than my New Balance Vazee Rush shoes, and have equal performance. On the down side, the laces are challenging to keep tied, even with double knots and are so slippery that it's hard to fully tighten the shoe. Also, the uprights are quite stiff, rubbing on my ankle bones as I run. I have about 75 miles on them, and they still haven't softened much. A 300 mile life is probably appropriate as the tread is already wearing. I would definitely buy them again.

I was immediatly impressed with how good they felt on my poor aching feet! They performed well during my 18 mile training run Saturday and I now have another pair I wear to work on the concrete floors of The Home Depot. My feet are way less painful. I'm very happy with these shoes!

About On

The story behind On running shoes began when a creative Swiss footwear engineer forged a symbiotic alliance with Olivier Bernhard, winner of three World Duathalon championships and multiple Ironman events. At the time, Olivier had been searching for a new kind of running shoe that could provide better impact cushioning without sacrificing a powerful push-off. After countless hours of R&D and dozens of prototypes, the revolutionary CloudTec® system was born. Soon after, the flagship pair of On running shoes hit the market in 2010, and this innovation-driven brand has been outrunning boundaries ever since. If you’ve been looking for footwear that adapts to your individual foot strike, helping transform your natural motion into propulsion, consider making the transition to On running shoes.
