Most Helpful 5-Star Review

5.0 out of 5 stars. Jacket+

I've bought it with discount for 59,99$ and it's worth every cent I've spent on it :)

++ Very light, comfortable, warm and has perfect deep hood! Resist water and has element to cover your 'buns' from cold wind—it's really great! :)

-- I can't always open close upper pocket with one hand; protective valves make lower pockets not comfortable to use and bristle if not closed with button.

  • 1.0 out of 5 stars. Not a Man's Jacket
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Still Need A New Jacket from North Dakota on Sunday, March 4, 2018
I was excited about the great deal that was being offered and to finally get a new snowboard jacket. As soon as I pulled it out of the box and tried it on, I knew it was too small. I'm 6'2" 250lbs so 2XL is my normal size for any shirt/jacket. Then when I went to zip it up I discovered the zipper was reversed (left-hand side rather than right-hand side) like a ladies jacket.

I would give this jacket a 4 star... if I was a lady.

Jacket is returned and I'll keep wearing my 15yr old Columbia jacket through the end of this season.

I have not yet been out snowboarding so this review is about my first impressions of the jacket. I did not know what to expect but I am very happy with this purchase. I tried it on and it felt comfortable and warm. I love the fact that it has a snow skirt. It is very long on my and makes me look like Paddington Bear but since I'm short it comes with the territory. It is very high quality, the color is nice and the Velcro on the wrists makes it easy to adjust. I can't wait to take it out and may even give it a whirl next time it rains. My experience with Sierra Trading Post is top notch. The purchase was easily done and I received my jacket quickly. I will definitely come to this site to shop more often. Thank you!
  • 5.0 out of 5 stars. Awesome Jacket

Best purchase I have made in a long time. It was my first time skiing ever, and this jacket kept me both dry and warm no matter how many times I bit the snow literally. I fell so many times I am amazed I didn't break anything, but the one thing I have always heard is that you do not want to get ice or water under your clothes or it is Game Over... and this jacket, and its snow skirt did not disappoint. I highly recommend it for a first time skier or snowboarder for that matter.

  • 3.0 out of 5 stars. Good but bad zipper implementation

Build quality and overall layout of coat is good but zipper pull on opposite side is complete bonkers. Not sure why pull is on the left instead of right

About O’Neill

It was the 1950's when the icy waters of San Francisco Bay drove inveterate surfer Jack O'Neill to develop the neoprene armor that is the stuff of today's wetsuits. Several permutations preceded the arrival of neoprene, including WWII frogmen suits lined with long underwear and later, glued-together pieces of closed-cell foam. Having solved the problem of keeping surfers warm with varying thicknesses of neoprene, O'Neill went on to enhance his wetsuit designs with advancements like the Z.E.N. zip closure system, Smoothskin, Super Seal Glideskin, Plasma Knee Pads and Firewall Chest panels. Today O'Neill wetsuits are the protection of choice for surfers and divers on every coast.
