This winder is exquisite. The burl finish is flawless. The winder actually looks better than the photo. The swinging action of the Rotorwind mechanism works perfectly in keeping my mechanical watches fully wound. I really like the design of the winder in that it easily allows you to place the winder mechanism without the wooden case inside your safe for safe keeping of your valuable watch. This permits one to lock up your watch without the need for purchasing another winder that utilizes a smaller footprint. Five year battery life is remarkable. I will probably purchase only Orbita winders from now on. I like the fact that they are made in the USA, and are fully repairable.

As with all Orbita products this one sets a standard. My other Orbita winders are entry level but have never failed to perform as advertised. Sierra trading post had the competition beat by more than $280. An incredible find!

  • “It sounds like this model is quiet. Is that the case? Also how many turns per day occur? Does this also have 110 power option?”

    • It turns about 6 times an hour and is very quite. I do not believe it has a 110 power option.

  • “Does this model allow you to program the number of rotations per day and direction?”
Asked by Anonymous from Unknown on 12/9/2011 12:00:00 AM
    • The Orbita Prestige Sparta Single Watch Winder is not programmable
Answered on 12/12/2011 12:00:00 AM by Prod. Spec. Ryan from Sierra Trading Post
    • The winder allows either 10 or 15 turns per hour. One direction on the powered turn only. The winder turns the watch over and then it swings back and forth for 10-15 seconds. Very smooth and quiet.
