Closeouts. The OTZ Shoes 300GMS goat suede shoes offer an earthy take on the slipper. The stretchy, soft goat suede upper is stitched directly to the jute fiber/rubber outsole to avoid the use of glues, and the removable CORKlite footbed cushions every stride with a full-contoured design.

If this review shows up twice, I apologize but I think the first one was lost in computer and....anyway here goes. I have researched these OTZ shoes all over the internet to get an idea of sizing, comfort, pricing etc. and have read all the reviews out there I think before purchasing. I was very confused about the Euro sizing as I normally buy 38 in Birkenstock and other Euro shoes. In this particular brand, I ordered the shoe in a 39. I am a solid 8 in USA sizes. The fit is perfect. My toe comes to the end of the shoe but does not bulge out at the toe. I read some comments about the linen shoe wearing out at the toe in a short time and I think it was because they were purchased too short. The softness of the suede and fabric make the shoe very flexible. I am a size B width in USA brands. This brand runs a bit wider, however it just gives them a different feel than regular shoes. I found it quite comfy and don't feel they are falling off my feet or anything.....just makes the heel slide up and down a bit. The cork insole is just like wearing Birkenstocks and will mold to your foot. Should you need orthotics, I have flat feet with inner pronation, Orthaheel 3/4 inserts work nicely over the cork bed. Haven't walked much in these so don't know if I need the insert or not. Lastly, the price....you will not find these shoes anywhere near STP pricing. I am so thrilled with them that I went back for more using my coupon online. At other internet sites, this shoe sells for between $64-$114. Don't know how STP does it!

I had never bought a pair of OTZ shoes before seeing these magical burnt orange shoes on the clearance sale. OMG, they are the most comfortable thing ever and very true to size. I had thought they would be more like a house slipper, but I wore them out and got huge compliments, plus my feet felt and looked great!!!

Came across OTZ when looking for a Birkenstock equivalent in shoe form and was amazed at the price offered for these on STP. I bought two pairs - one in Goat Suede (orange) and one in red leather both in size 37. I'm a 36 B(regular width) in Birkenstocks and probably US size 6.5 - 7 in other ballet and slip-on shoes but with the reviews I went up a size. And I'm so soo glad I did! The 37 length fit perfect and probably could have been more perfect if it was another half a size larger to make room for socks if so inclined - I didn't try the 38's. The cork footbed is slightly narrower than a Birki regular width. Because of the soft leather/suede, you can see the slight outline of my toes at the end of the shoe.
I like the removable cork footbed and imagine they will get even more comfortable with wear. I can feel the arch support but it's not as pronounced as and an orthopedic insole or the Vionics or Chacos.
Here's where my word of caution comes in - while they are comfortable once I get my foot in - they are not that easy to slip on! If you have high instep - these would be impossible to put on. I have skinny feet and still had trouble and I can feel the leather edge pressing onto the top of my foot. Also there is a design difference between the two pairs - the leather pair had elastic sides that stretches - so helpful and is immediately comfortable to wear, but the suede pair doesn't and so I'm going to assume that the suede will stretch out over time.
I've read that you can make it into a slip-on by folding down the heel piece so I placed the footbed above the fold and they work fine but you would still need to use your hands to get the shoes on which completely defeats the purpose!
Long story short, these may not suit everyone even if you get the sizing right. The leather pair with the elastic is better designed than the suede. I'm keeping both, one to wear as slippers in hopes that the top suede will stretch, and only because of the great STP prices. I could even reuse the removable footbed as an insole for another shoe (haven't tried that yet). No way would I have paid full price for these as I have with Birkenstocks.

The only color left was pale yellow. Not very practical for outdoors, but would've been fine for house slippers except that they were a little too small. Tried going up one size and they were too big. They don't have half sizes. Sent them back.

I was so excited about getting these to wear to the Clemson University playoff game. They were so small I couldn't get my foot in them. I ordered the size I always wear, but I will have to say it is the first time I have been dissatisfied with a purchase. I have been a customer of Sierra for many years and have always had excellent service and good buys.

About OTZ Shoes

The story behind OTZ Shoes began more than 5,000 years ago with a man exploring what would eventually be named the Otztal Alps in Northern Italy. Today, that man is known as Otzi the Iceman. After learning that Otzi had been discovered wearing a simple pair of flat-soled deer hide and bearskin shoes, the founders of OTZ Shoes had an epiphany: Modern footwear had simply become too complicated. This notion soon led the creators of OTZ sandals, flip-flops and espadrille shoes to start building footwear with premium, lightweight textiles and a simple, zero-drop design that follows the natural shape of the foot. The result is footwear that feels instinctively comfortable. Try a pair of OTZ Shoes and rediscover simplicity.
