Verified Buyer Reviewed by iTEd from Florida on Friday, September 23, 2016I haven't had the chance to use this for its primary purpose (canoeing) but I can tell it will do quite nicely.
The sole is very grippy, and the adjustment grasps the foot evenly and as firmly or loosely as desired. The insole is grippy as well, making it a little tricky to wear with socks; also, the sizing seems to presume the won't be worn. The insole has good drainage channels, and feels a bit warm, so cold feet may only be an issue in pretty cold conditions.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Seth from WY on Friday, September 9, 2016I've been wearing Keens for years for all my hiking and wet wading fishing, but tried these on at a store and they are so much more comfortable. Can't attest to their durability yet, but trying them out on a five day backpacking trip this week.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Jdp822 from Ohio on Tuesday, August 30, 2016I really like these Chaco water shoes. I tried the Keen water shoes and returned them for the Chacos, which are far more comfortable and have better arch support. My one criticism of the Chacos is that the lace tightening plastic mechanism seems to break off from the mesh webbing rather easily. This is my second pair of Chaco water shoes and on both pairs the lace cinch toggle broke free from the webbing--they still work and look great, but hopefully the the cinch toggle will be improved in future versions of the shoe.
