I really like most things about this parka. It is light yet very warm. I have not tested it below 20 degrees, however. The color (blue) is very pretty. The lines of the parka as well as the color are very feminine. I love the longer length and the fact that it keeps the bum warm :-) The sleeves are plenty long which makes the absence of sleeve cuffs not a problem. My only issue is the a-line cut which is just a little wide for me and the chest is a bit fitted. I am keeping the parka because, overall, I am very pleased with it. I am 5'7" and weigh 134 lbs. I am usually between a size S and M. The medium jacket is just right for me.

I adore this coat! I've purchased one in colour Aqua Lake. The colour is just exectly as it's name. Very light, but warm enough. Very nice and cozy. Nice fit - I've bought size L on hips 40-41". After purchasing this coat, I've opened for myself and I've loved the great brand Outdoor Research. I want another one or two coats from this trademark, but it isn't cheap. But great!

Super warm- I live in the Northeast and I've been wearing this jacket for a couple weeks now and haven't been cold once. The temps have gone below zero and I've remained toastie. I'm not standing around but out walking the dogs or doing errands-don't know how it would fair if you were just standing around. I ordered a Medium and am very happy with the fit. I'm 5ft5in and 130lbs-chest C cup. It is a little tight across the chest but I think that is the style. No restriction in arms, I've shoveled with it on no problem. I've gotten tons of compliments, fits nicely!

Love the jacket, very light, very warm. It felt tight across the chest/ shoulder area which would be annoyingly uncomfortable, wore it and it is completely fine and comfortable! I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars because I took the hood off and one of the snaps came off, bummer!

  • “Are there any interior pockets?

Also, is there a temperature rating?”
Asked by Crazy Jade from Cleveland, OH on 2/8/2015 10:44:41 PM
    • There is one interior pocket, but I don't recall a temp rating. I do wish that the coat had more pockets & when it is really cold, I do have to put on a thin vest underneath. However, I am highly satisfied with the coat. Do remember that it runs a bit small across the back.

About Outdoor Research

The concept for Outdoor Research was devised in 1981 when climber Ron Gregg’s planned ascent of Denali was cut short, ending prematurely with his frostbitten partner being airlifted off a glacier. The cause was a faulty pair of gaiters. During his descent, Gregg resolved himself to create better gear, a resolution that soon led him to build the first pair of award-winning Outdoor Research gaiters. The concept was simple: Make outdoor apparel and gear with a clear focus on reliability. In the many years since, this brand has continued to blaze new trails with cutting-edge products that now include Outdoor Research gloves, jackets, backpacks and Outdoor Research hats, all engineered to exceed expectations in the most demanding conditions on the planet.
