My four and a half year old pink-loving daughter adores the hat. The size medium fits her well, not at ll too big. It's cute and the brim is wide enough to keep sun off without being stupidly large for a small child. Drawstring holds the hat on securely and is easy for little fingers to operate. It's not apparent in the photo, but it's not just flat pink, there;s subtly checked pattern which adds some interest. This hat is exactly what I wanted for summer on the beach/at the park, etc!

This hat is great mostly because of the draw~string that I can tighten to keep my kiddos from ripping this hat off their heads, or if it's windy it won't blow off. It is also comfortable for them and they actually don't seem to mind wearing it (which is unusual)
The only drawback is I wish the brim of the hat was wider/longer so that it kept a little more of the sun off their shoulders too, not just their faces. Overall though, I'm really glad I bought it. And I don't really buy anything online.

This is a great beach hat. I wrote that it's big, but since it has an elastic draw cord around the base of the hat, it's perfectly adjustable. Even the small would fit a 12 year old. A large child would fit an adult, but an adult may find the brim a bit too shallow. It's perfect for kids. The cord that you can tighten under your chin (easily) is also great on a windy day. Also, it's lightweight enough that you can make your child wear it while boogie boarding!

I love the hat, now if I could just get my 1 year old to wear it... I ordered a medium and it fits her when size is adjusted as small as it will go. Gives her room to grow into it.

My son no longer has to steal his sister's pink zoo hat! He has his own wide-brimmed hat with a chin strap. I ordered it too big so it would fit him for a while, and it stays on his head just fine. It squishes nicely, but I wish the brim were not so stiff because it doesn't roll or squish as tightly as our other hats. The chin strap adjuster isn't the easy, one-handed button that I'd hoped, but it's not hard to adjust, so I can't complain.

    • Pros: Chin strap, Fun Color, Lightweight, Squishable
