Found it at last!Verified Buyer Reviewed by Appellate lawyer from Santa Rosa on Monday, February 26, 2018I have admired this OR hat and have been searching for one for a long time, and to find it at a bargain price at STP and in the correct, XL-size, is a real treat! "One size fits most" simply won't work for me and my updo hair, but this model does the job well. Love the fabric, the brim, and the chin strap with the adjustable toggle. Got the aqua color, and it is a good color for me. Thank you STP!

There is a consistent breeze with gusts to 20 MPH and for the most part this hat stays put! Plus it provides ample coverage. I am happy with this purchase.

This item is not designed as a rain hat.
Yes, I think it would. I wear it in the garden in the rain. I don't know if it would be waterproof for a long hike, but it might be!
Yes, I specifically wear mine as a rain hat in spring and summer rains. It seems to be treated with something to make it waterproof.
