This is a great-looking functional jacket. It held up really nicely against a downpour when it took me a couple minutes to run to my car. Nice slimming jacket. Not overly warm. More like a car jacket. Sleeves are long.

The jacket had a great fit, I'm 5'8" 150# and the large fit well, long sleeves. What I didn't like is that wind creeps right in. I thought it would offer more warmth, it doesn't. Nice jacket but not what I needed.

This is a great-looking functional jacket. It held up really nicely against a downpour when it took me a couple minutes to run to my car. It is NOT water-resistant, as it did soak up some of the water, but the fleece lining stayed dry inside. The sleeves are hilariously long (I am 5'3" but with a long torso and regular-length arms) and I will have to get them brought up 2". I really like the overall longer length but it doesn't flare out too much so I don't recommend this jacket for ladies with wider hips and bottoms. Other than the sleeve length, the fit seems pretty true to size with room to fit a thin jacket/sweater underneath comfortably (for reference I'm 140, athletic build with broad shoulders, big arms, smaller chest and a Medium fits well).

About Outdoor Research

The concept for Outdoor Research was devised in 1981 when climber Ron Gregg’s planned ascent of Denali was cut short, ending prematurely with his frostbitten partner being airlifted off a glacier. The cause was a faulty pair of gaiters. During his descent, Gregg resolved himself to create better gear, a resolution that soon led him to build the first pair of award-winning Outdoor Research gaiters. The concept was simple: Make outdoor apparel and gear with a clear focus on reliability. In the many years since, this brand has continued to blaze new trails with cutting-edge products that now include Outdoor Research gloves, jackets, backpacks and Outdoor Research hats, all engineered to exceed expectations in the most demanding conditions on the planet.
