Great buy but the zipper could be betterVerified Buyer Reviewed by Juno's Dad from PA on Tuesday, February 20, 2018Great jacket, good for 30F with a base layer, reasonably waterproof in snow and light drizzle.
The inner material makes layering easier as it lets other layers slide without catching.
Here is the bad, the main zipper sticks at the bottom but OR has great warranty if izipper gets too bad.
Pleasantly Surprised!Verified Buyer Reviewed by Sherwood Gear Man from Wisconsin on Thursday, February 8, 2018I have been using the Razoredge primarily during cold winter weather in Wisconsin. The jacket is extremely comfortable. The hood sits well. The inside pocket configuration is great for carrying longer items such as maps if hiking or gloves in the winter. The jacket is a slimmer fit, but I've been able to wear a lightweight jacket underneath when its very cold. An overall winner.
Great JacketVerified Buyer Reviewed by WOUB from Indiana on Wednesday, February 7, 2018Overall great.....as others have stated the zipper is a bit wonky. The normal zipper is OK, but the bottom slider made to open the bottom of the jacket is the problem. Because the bottom hem fits snug around your rump to keep drafts out, the bottom slider tends to work itself up. Then if you are completely unzipping the jacket from the top to open it, the bottom slider will have to be pushed back down first. Works fine if you remember to snug the bottom slider down first before unzipping from the top.
Outdoor Research Razoredge JacketVerified Buyer Reviewed by Seattle Sun from Seattle, Washington on Wednesday, February 7, 2018I like this jacket as it is so soft and light. I usually wear a small size, but the middle fits me well. The cutting of the jacket is longer and tight at the bottom; when I sit down the 2-way zipper is forced to open.
Exceptional!Verified Buyer Reviewed by Average American Apparel Shopper from The United States of America on Tuesday, February 6, 2018With a couple of layers underneath this jacket worked well on a brisk day jog. The fit was really good and the sleeves had plenty of room for movement. Sealed out the cold and did not allow sweat to accumulate.
Great ProductVerified Buyer Reviewed by Mike from Maryland on Thursday, February 1, 2018Outdoor Research makes a great product. The attention to detail is top notch as always and the quality is superb. I am 6' and 185 lbs. and the large fits snugly with a base layer. This is a great light jacket and is perfect for those not sooooo cold days. I would have rated it at 5 stars but the sizing is a little tight so if you intend to wear layers under the jacket you may want to consider moving up one size. Sierra Trading Post is without a doubt " the place" to shop for all your outdoor needs.
Superb winter or fall jacketReviewed by Power Walker from Las Vegas and Puerto Vallarta on Sunday, January 7, 2018I can understand the lower review here since he mentioned a zipper issue but STP or OR would both handle a matter like that really well. I've experienced excellent service from both before anyway. ON the Razoredge, I love primaloft and don't find any issues at all with mine. I got the dark blue/'baltic' color and it looks really sharp while feeling very comfortable. It isn't a jacket for running but its great for hiking in Fall and Winter. I'd order a size up for a little extra layering room. Its worked very well for me in 30 to 50 degrees Farenheit and I love mine. Got a great deal on it, in fact, and I'm considering picking up a second one. A+, OR!
