A very flexible jacket

I am a jacket addict. There, I've said it. I blame it on growing up in the Northwest. For me, jackets are to the northwest, as flip-flops are to the southwest. I've lived in both areas and I mean that in the best possible way.

Anyway, I have never been disappointed by an OR product and I have several jackets, pants, beanies, gloves, gaiters, etc. from them. This is a light-weight yet flexible shell. I've put it through its paces, most notably while doing about 6-hours of outdoor labor during a sustained and absolute torrential downpour in Hawaii... it was probably 70 out, humidity through the roof, and I was working hard... yet this jacket kept me dry AND as comfortable as I could possibly expect. Highly recommended. Pertex Sheild is no substitute for a GoreTex or eVent shell for technical needs, but for day-to-day and even slightly more extreme needs, it holds its own.
