  • 5.0 out of 5 stars. My 2nd OR hat

I bought a similar one a couple of years ago and I love love love it. Had to buy one again because the deal was so good. Plus my daughter “borrowed” my other hat. Love that it’s packable, it’s light weight, covers my face from the sun and comfortable!
  • 5.0 out of 5 stars. Comfy enough

It’s a great hat to pack for my cruise. Not heavy and looks great!

Love the color and larger brim on this hat, but the medium was huge! Exchanged for a small which is a little looser than I would like, but not enough to return. Except for the sizing, it's a well made product.

Needed a hat for sun protection. This one provides some shade, but the brim if fairly small so it's not full protection. It's light, can crush and pack easily. Seems true to size. I think it looks good. There's a ponytail opening in back, but my hair is too thick of the hole.

About Outdoor Research

The concept for Outdoor Research was devised in 1981 when climber Ron Gregg’s planned ascent of Denali was cut short, ending prematurely with his frostbitten partner being airlifted off a glacier. The cause was a faulty pair of gaiters. During his descent, Gregg resolved himself to create better gear, a resolution that soon led him to build the first pair of award-winning Outdoor Research gaiters. The concept was simple: Make outdoor apparel and gear with a clear focus on reliability. In the many years since, this brand has continued to blaze new trails with cutting-edge products that now include Outdoor Research gloves, jackets, backpacks and Outdoor Research hats, all engineered to exceed expectations in the most demanding conditions on the planet.
