Keep in mind that you can't pull them through shoes.

Reviewed by Karl from Victoria Australia on Saturday, November 25, 2017Use these for what they're meant for and you'll be happy. Lightweight and comfortable i didn't notice i had them on. Wore them for a trail half marathon to keep the sand out on a couple of beach sections and they did the job perfectly. Not a grain of sand got in my runners. the rest of the course was a combination of groomed and non technical trail They stayed in place really well without the velcro attachment but i think the underfoot cord will wear and break in time, not a big problem to replace methinks. I'm confident enough in them to try them on technical rocky trails but not with flat soled runners as the cord will surely shred.

Verified Buyer Reviewed by Michael from Mountains from Oregon on Wednesday, October 18, 2017Because of the design, it is more effective to tie the line under the sole, but to do so is very difficult. I figured I would get some 1/4 inch bungee cord and make several sets so that, when one broke, I'd have a replacement when I needed it. But then I read an Outdoor Research report on Gaiters that included these. They really don't come up high enough for winter and they aren't waterproof. When they get wet, they sag. Realizing they wouldn't meet my needs, I opted for a different model by the same company, and returned these, despite the fee.

Verified Buyer Reviewed by Mark from NC on Sunday, October 1, 2017These were very small. I wear size 10 men's and I ordered the medium gaiters but when they arrived I found I could not even begin to pull them on over my shoes and they have no zipper for that purpose. They also were much more flimsy than the pictures make them look.

Reviewed by OCULUS from Rensselaer, NY on Monday, February 24, 2014I bought these to use for shooting and other brush-beating to help ward off ticks. Not sure how well they'll do, but they have to be an improvement over simple socks.
