5.0 out of 5 stars. Super deal

I got these a month ago and have been really impressed with the quality and comfort. I found them to run about 1/2 size large, but don't mind the extra wiggle room. Grabbed them for about $22 bucks and feel like I pretty much stole them. Good support on uneven terrain, and I was able to hose them off to good result after getting into mud. The tread shed mud and rocks well during the hike. They're durable enough that they should last me a good couple years, which is pretty good considering the abuse I commit against my shoes on the trail. I would say these are just as good as trail runners I've paid $100+ for.

The factory insole is flattish so if you need med-high arch support, you'll want to get a pair to fit your specific needs. I don't think lack of arch support should detract from the rating. Everyone has different arch support needs and expecting a shoe to fit YOUR arch perfectly is a bit unreasonable. Most shoes come with a basic insole with a slight arch or even no arch at all. I personally find high arch support causes changes to my gait that make me under pronate and experience foot fatigue and pain. I put a pair of my medium support insoles in these and they feel perfect.

This is my first product from Pacific Trail and I won't hesitate to buy more of their products in the future.

  • 3.0 out of 5 stars. They're ok

Got these in gray/pink, they fit true to size generally. They're sort of boxy, and I don't have narrow feet. Thinish sole and not much cushion in the footbed. I had to re-tie them tighter because they just seemed loose/boxy overall. Got them cheap, wouldn't have purchased them had I tried them on in a store. I'll wear them since I exercise every day, but they won't be my 'go to' shoes.
  • 4.0 out of 5 stars. terrific for the price but runs wide

I found these shoes run wide but wasn't a deal breaker since they are going to be used for walking around with the dogs and yard work, not any real hiking. There isn't much arch support either, which for me is just fine. I wear a size 8 and found that I needed to go up 1/2 size to make sure the toe cap didn't interfere with my big toe. If there wasn't a hard toe cap I would have stayed with the 8 which was an overall better fit. Otherwise I still think they are a great shoe due to the really low price.
  • 2.0 out of 5 stars. Just ok for an errand shoe

The shoe size fit but there is no arch support and very little cushioning. Was planning on using these for walking the dogs but they will be mostly an errand shoe. Attractive enough in the tan color.
  • 5.0 out of 5 stars. Comfortable

Great support on the sides and a comfortable shoe to walk long distances. I walk a minimum of 6 miles a day and needed a shoe with more support on the side of the shoe. Great price and its really light weight.
  • 5.0 out of 5 stars. Perfect shoes

I have a pair of high top trail shoes but my sister and I wanted something more like a “tennis shoe”. Got these and I typically wear a 7 and ordered my size and thy fit perfect. There is quite more room in the front but I do not have wide feet at all. But overall they were comfy. I hiked in Zion National Park in Utah, Mojave Desert in Nevada, and Death Valley National Park in California in three days... all in these shoes. And I didn’t have one complaint!
