Great robe. If you're not familiar with Pack Towl, they make compact towels for travel and camping. They absorb a lot, but aren't much thicker than flannel. The material is dense and soft.

The fit is as expected.

I am a short curvy woman and bought this robe for travel. Since I am hippy I ordered an XL because I wanted overlap in front. It did go around my hips but was almost halfway to my ankles. I could barely reach the pockets. This is a straight up and down column with no shaping. I cut off about 6 inches all the way around above the pockets and sewed it back together. Shortened the sleeves and sewed the belt to the back so I would not lose it. It was stiff at first but after a year of washing it weekly it is soft and comfy. It does take up more space than a slinky robe but the benefit of a PackTowl in a robe form is worth it. I love it so much that it has replaced my big terry house robe.

    • This robe is absolutely straight up and down. If I were you would order the large. I am a curvy short women and I have a large. I had to shorten the length and the arms. I also sewed the belt to the back of the robe so I would not lose it. I now love the robe. I travel a lot and it always goes with me. When you first get it it might feel stiff but will soften with each washing. Good luck

    • Hi again Joe,
I just measured mine from arm seam to arm seam across the back. 26 1/2.
BTW in my original review I stated that mine was an XL when I fact it is a L
