I think that everyone should try over the calf socks. I have been wearing them exclusively for decades. On balance them seem to be "classier" than regular socks and I like the way that they fit. Pantherella socks are top of the line over the calf socks and I really enjoy them.

Sierra Trading Post has been my supplier recently. These socks look great--the ribs are far apart--and they last.
