Though I haven't yet worn this jacket, it's exactly what I wanted, light weight, warm,
fits nicely! I especially like the way the collar wraps around my neck! Looking forward to wearing it.

This not so expensive jacket is really warm, soft and light, perfect for cold days. It has no hood (hence 4 stars) but lots of large pockets. True to size

After reading the previous comments I was worried this jacket would be too small if I ordered my usual usual size. I wanted something larger to fit layers underneath for hiking so I ordered a large. I am 5' 7" 145lbs. Honestly the large was huge on me. I am sending back and ordering a medium. A small would probably fit perfect if I didn't want to add layers under it. Overall jacket is light and very warm and it has great zippers too. I like this jacket very much.

Liked the jacket when it came, and I read all the reviews. I’m always worried about size & how things will fit. I’m 5’6” 180# lg frame-ordered Lg and it fit in my arms, back, length but “tight” when zipped. Thought about sending back, but would have been to big across areas it fit already. Gave to my daughter who is 5’6” 155# small frame and it fit (VERY roomy). Seems the “body” vest part of jacket was made smaller than the rest of the jacket. But looks good, kinda light (wouldn’t think for extreme cold).

    • It doesn’t say on any tag that I can find. It would not be warm enough to ski on its own though.

    • This item does not list the fill power.

    • I bought a small men's PP Ilma hooded from STP. The specs for it stated the fill is 500, but had a very pleasant surprise when it arrived. First, the coat is what I'd call overstuffed and weighs in at 22 ozs. Comparing this to three Mountain Hardwear down jacket I have it is 4-6 ozs heavier and has twice the loft of them meaning it's the warmest. Secondly, it had a tag with a "Track my down" number and here's the big one; I found the down they used is processed by Allied, the HUGE cooperative which has the cutting edge techno factory in China. They have developed there own non-PFC steam cleaning and yes it goes in at 500 and ends up 690 fill. Wow! No wonder they retail so high and bless STP for such a deal that even I can afford this fine of a quality.

About Peak Performance

The Peak Performance clothing brand was created in 1986 by four Swedish skiers with a shared vision. From the beginning, the goal behind all Peak Performance ski apparel has been to design quality, stylish, high-performance products that aren’t flashy or over the top. During a time when neon colors and ostentatious patterns were all the rage on ski slopes, Peak Performance was getting back to the roots of what made great ski apparel. As fashion trends shifted and technology advanced in the 1990s, Peak had already established itself as a premier European skiwear brand. In the years since, Peak Performance of Sweden has continued to push innovation and has even expanded into cycling, running and golf apparel.
