Clearly these are high quality shorts. The only thing I wish I had known is that they waist band of the shorts really sit on your hips. If you are thick in the hips -- don't buy these shorts!

  • “Do these shorts have pockets in them to fit gels?”
Asked by Lula from Jax Bch, FL on 7/14/2010 12:00:00 AM
    • There is a small key pocket in the back of the liner.

  • “Is the "color 8" which is called "black" all black or does it have the white panel along the back as is displayed in the image? My friend told me about these shorts...she ordered color 8 which looks like it has the white panel but the pair she received was just an all black pair of the shorts. I would like the black pair (color 08) that the image displays as having a white panel along the back.”
Asked by Anonymous from Unknown on 5/22/2010 12:00:00 AM
    • You didn't mention size but I did check size small and large and both had the white panel as shown on our website for color 08.

    • These shorts have a light gray panel running along the back of the short with some very thin red top stitching.

  • “The specs say inner brief is polyester - one of the reviews says "no liner"... is there, or isn't there? Thanks!”
Asked by Anonymous from Unknown on 2/4/2010 12:00:00 AM
    • These shorts do have a brief liner in them. They are not lined and that may be what a customer was referring to possibly.

    • Yes, there is a liner. Also has a small "key" pocket it the back of the liner.

About Pearl Izumi

Before Kinji Shimizu created the first Pearl Izumi cycling apparel, he spent nearly seven days a week on his bike delivering 90 pounds of clothes to customers. He frequently pedaled 38 miles a day. Years later, after his son received a special Italian-made cycling jersey, Kinji was inspired to start creating his own using the best fabrics he could find. The result soon evolved into the Pearl Izumi brand. In the five decades since, the company Kinji founded has continued working hard to make the best gear possible for dedicated athletes and weekend warriors. From incredibly lightweight Pearl Izumi shoes to sleek, comfortable Pearl Izumi running apparel, few other brands have the same relentless drive toward innovation as Pearl Izumi.
