I think another reviewer warned that these caps don't comfortably cover one's ears. I can confirm that and add that the cap feels a bit awkward as a result but it's otherwise comfortable and I like it because it's a bit lighter in weight than a couple of other skull caps I purchased from STP. I'll probably use it a lot when the temp in in the 30's.

It's a nice cap, but I'm on the L/XL size border and this cap just doesn't provide the coverage that I need..Gave to my wife.
Unfortunately one size doesn't fit me...

great for under a bike helmet

I have long hair and it kept getting caught in my bike helmet. Whenever it is cool-ish outside I prefer layering this hat to avoid a hair catastrophe at the end of a ride. It adds some comfort and extra padding under the helmet but still breathes. Looking forward to cycling throughout the fall with this. I love the ponytail hole in the back and I imagine if you don't have a ponytail you would not mind the hole.

About Pearl Izumi

Before Kinji Shimizu created the first Pearl Izumi cycling apparel, he spent nearly seven days a week on his bike delivering 90 pounds of clothes to customers. He frequently pedaled 38 miles a day. Years later, after his son received a special Italian-made cycling jersey, Kinji was inspired to start creating his own using the best fabrics he could find. The result soon evolved into the Pearl Izumi brand. In the five decades since, the company Kinji founded has continued working hard to make the best gear possible for dedicated athletes and weekend warriors. From incredibly lightweight Pearl Izumi shoes to sleek, comfortable Pearl Izumi running apparel, few other brands have the same relentless drive toward innovation as Pearl Izumi.
