  • Runs small

These shorts are great quality and were a great price on Sierra Trading Post. However, like many have reported, they run small. My husband is a size 34 waist and I ordered the large. I should have got the XL. And now they are out of XL on the website and in the closest store. Too bad, these are great quality.

These are lightweight but high quality. The chamois is removable; I haven't tried yet but it seems like I'll be able to use it with other shorts as well. Fit is true to size.

As another reviewer indicated, these shorts do not run true to size. You need to size up !
That being said, the material is great quality and the removable liner with padding works nicely.
Lastly, I found them very comfortable AND
Great Price ! Four star rating due to the sizing issue.

First of all these DO NOT run to size , I ordered the large and the waist was 34 expanded, so I sent back and ordered the XL, 36 inch expanded. Just got the XL today so I haven't had a ride in them yet. Color is nice and seem well constructed, so I will update after a few rides.

  • “what is the waist measurement on the small?”

    • Really couldn't tell you about the smalls but I first ordered the large and they were too small so I ended up with the xl and I have a 36 waist so the chart was off ,even when expanded all the way out,

    • Sorry Randy, guess I’m strike 3. All I can tell you is that I needed to go up 1 size , from L to XL.

About Pearl Izumi

Before Kinji Shimizu created the first Pearl Izumi cycling apparel, he spent nearly seven days a week on his bike delivering 90 pounds of clothes to customers. He frequently pedaled 38 miles a day. Years later, after his son received a special Italian-made cycling jersey, Kinji was inspired to start creating his own using the best fabrics he could find. The result soon evolved into the Pearl Izumi brand. In the five decades since, the company Kinji founded has continued working hard to make the best gear possible for dedicated athletes and weekend warriors. From incredibly lightweight Pearl Izumi shoes to sleek, comfortable Pearl Izumi running apparel, few other brands have the same relentless drive toward innovation as Pearl Izumi.
