Pure junk. I am only a 4 or 6 but the Medium in these shorts fit like XS. They are also amateurishly short. Serious cyclists do not wear hot pants in order to get a tan on the bike. I thought i'd try the women's shorts, but I'm going back to buying only PI men's bibs and shorts -- thicker fabric, better padding, and almost knee-length. Solid. Men's Small and even medium fit fine -- maybe even more comfortably because they fall below the navel. I have a half-dozen pair of PI men's bibs and shorts and there's no comparison. It's as though the men's cycling clothes are made for Saks Fifth Avenue, and the women's, for K Mart. Unfortunately, the short-changing of quality in a manufacturer's styles for women is not exclusive to Pearl Izumi, but this is a pretty egregious example. Don't bother with the matching sleeveless jersey either.

About Pearl Izumi

Before Kinji Shimizu created the first Pearl Izumi cycling apparel, he spent nearly seven days a week on his bike delivering 90 pounds of clothes to customers. He frequently pedaled 38 miles a day. Years later, after his son received a special Italian-made cycling jersey, Kinji was inspired to start creating his own using the best fabrics he could find. The result soon evolved into the Pearl Izumi brand. In the five decades since, the company Kinji founded has continued working hard to make the best gear possible for dedicated athletes and weekend warriors. From incredibly lightweight Pearl Izumi shoes to sleek, comfortable Pearl Izumi running apparel, few other brands have the same relentless drive toward innovation as Pearl Izumi.
