I have ordered about four different brands which I had to return to various other companies for fit or size issues. But this short...AHHH...this short...I will wear when I am on the stationary bike and while doing my workout routine. The chamois is not so thick to bunch up or even look obvious. I am very pleased with the quality and fit. I am petite 5' and 106 lbs and very fit for my age. My waist is 28 and hips 34 and the M is a good fit as it is not so tight to restrict breathing. The slightly lower cut in front makes for a nice smooth look when wearing my PI tops. There are no ripples or elastic bulges or curling waistband and I like that. Got to look good at the gym as you never know who is watching you. Thank you STP for offering this high quality item. Its a winner for me.

I'm not sure what it is about the material and seaming but these are extremely uncomfortable. The "Pearl Izumi" script that is screened on also seemed of low quality, as if it were going to flake off immediately. These were returned immediately.

Great quality - these stayed put through my entire swim, bike and run. Run a little small, but once I found the right size they were great

I am a consistent size small in Pearl Izumi bike shorts. However (as with most tri clothing), I had to size up to a medium for a comfortable fit in these. I wear them for bike-run days so if you are swimming I guess maybe you could get away with your usual size? The bands on the legs are the tightest part (and I have skinny legs) relative to hips and waist. I like the shorter inseam. The chamois is the thinnest of any tri shorts I've tried, It was fine for the mountain bike but I don't think I'd want to wear these for any length of time on a road bike.

About Pearl Izumi

Before Kinji Shimizu created the first Pearl Izumi cycling apparel, he spent nearly seven days a week on his bike delivering 90 pounds of clothes to customers. He frequently pedaled 38 miles a day. Years later, after his son received a special Italian-made cycling jersey, Kinji was inspired to start creating his own using the best fabrics he could find. The result soon evolved into the Pearl Izumi brand. In the five decades since, the company Kinji founded has continued working hard to make the best gear possible for dedicated athletes and weekend warriors. From incredibly lightweight Pearl Izumi shoes to sleek, comfortable Pearl Izumi running apparel, few other brands have the same relentless drive toward innovation as Pearl Izumi.
