Nice Shorts
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from Jackson Hole on Thursday, November 10, 2016
I use PI bib shorts for touring; for me they are the most comfortable and well made shorts available. I generally prefer the Elite fabrics over the P.R.O. fabrics but prefer the P.R.O. chamois. Since in this case only both had the Pursuit 1.1 Chamois, I bought this pair. By a side-by-side compari... Read More

  • Pursuit of Comfort
Verified Buyer Reviewed by AllDirtAlltheTime from Boise, ID on Saturday, April 28, 2018
-The short is comfortable and the bib straps are soft and feel barely there.
-The leg opening is comfortable but 2" of gripper is overkill IMO.
--These bibs would be fine without the silicone.
-The chamois is OK, but the center area is on the narrow side.
-Pearl Izumi sizing is always off for me. I have a 30" waist,/no gut, but wear medium which is 32-34.
-Overall they are easily worth $50...I love STP prices!
  • Fits well but a pain to go to the restroom
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Jai Rawat from California on Tuesday, March 6, 2018
I didn't really ride in them. I put them on to go for a ride and it was 34 degrees outside so I had to put on a few layers. Then I decided to go to the restroom before my ride and realized what a pain it was!! I had take off all the layers to get to the suspenders.

May be ok to use them in summer when you are not layered up.
  • Causes Chafing
Reviewed by Stephen from North Carolina on Sunday, June 4, 2017
I own several PI cycling bibs and bought this pair for my long rides. I wore them three times: on a 50-mile, a 65-mile, and a 30-mile ride. Each time, the bibs caused a pretty mean case of chafing, so I guess I'm going to give these to someone and see if that person has better luck with them. Note: these bibs fit tighter than the Pearl Izumi bibs I've purchased in medium.

The fit is well. Quality seems to be great.
  • Great Value
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Ognila from Ohio on Tuesday, April 18, 2017
I have been a cyclist for a number of years and have always worn just the shorts. I am now a true convert to bibs. Way better fit and support. Then there is the brand. I have tried some cheaper brands than Pear Izumi and some just as, or more, costly. The PIs just seem to last longer and are more comfortable. These ones are very good and a great buy at this price.

About Pearl Izumi

Before Kinji Shimizu created the first Pearl Izumi cycling apparel, he spent nearly seven days a week on his bike delivering 90 pounds of clothes to customers. He frequently pedaled 38 miles a day. Years later, after his son received a special Italian-made cycling jersey, Kinji was inspired to start creating his own using the best fabrics he could find. The result soon evolved into the Pearl Izumi brand. In the five decades since, the company Kinji founded has continued working hard to make the best gear possible for dedicated athletes and weekend warriors. From incredibly lightweight Pearl Izumi shoes to sleek, comfortable Pearl Izumi running apparel, few other brands have the same relentless drive toward innovation as Pearl Izumi.
