Great shoe. Stiff carbon sole, nicely sized toebox with some wiggle room but not too big (for my feet anyway), Good BOA system for "just right" attachment and adjusting tension from the saddle. Great shoe. Stiff carbon sole, nicely sized toebox with some wiggle room but not too big (for my feet anyway), Good BOA system for "just right" attachment and adjusting tension from the saddle. Good heelcup security as well, no slippage. For sizing purposes - I'm usually a US 8.5 to 9 normal width, size 43 in this shoe fit fine. For further comparison I have a Giro Trans in 42 (slightly tight) and an old Shimano M088 (MTB shoe) in size 42. Usual good service and shipping from Sierra Trading Post.

Run small. Had to send back my usual size. The next half size up is tight but works with thin socks

Love hear shoes. Fits as described. Boa makes a great fit for a lightweight shoe.

About Pearl Izumi

Before Kinji Shimizu created the first Pearl Izumi cycling apparel, he spent nearly seven days a week on his bike delivering 90 pounds of clothes to customers. He frequently pedaled 38 miles a day. Years later, after his son received a special Italian-made cycling jersey, Kinji was inspired to start creating his own using the best fabrics he could find. The result soon evolved into the Pearl Izumi brand. In the five decades since, the company Kinji founded has continued working hard to make the best gear possible for dedicated athletes and weekend warriors. From incredibly lightweight Pearl Izumi shoes to sleek, comfortable Pearl Izumi running apparel, few other brands have the same relentless drive toward innovation as Pearl Izumi.
