I ordered a large for these thinking that I'd be able to wear glove liners underneath, usually I wear medium gloves. The larges fit but barely. The gloves are also very stiff. I only have a little bit more dexterity with them on then when wearing mittens. They also need to be waterproofed, as mine got soaked through in a late winter rain the first time I wore them. They're not bad, they're just ok. You can probably find something better but can be worth it at the price.

I lost one of my favorite pearl Izumi soft shell elite lite gloves in a kayak accident. I have not been able to find a replacement for these awesome gloves. These gloves are a little too thick which results in being too warm when the temp warms up as you're riding and too cold when the temp is cold as the extra insulation makes the gloves a little tight which restricts blood flow.

I returned these gloves and got the PRO model.

About Pearl Izumi

Before Kinji Shimizu created the first Pearl Izumi cycling apparel, he spent nearly seven days a week on his bike delivering 90 pounds of clothes to customers. He frequently pedaled 38 miles a day. Years later, after his son received a special Italian-made cycling jersey, Kinji was inspired to start creating his own using the best fabrics he could find. The result soon evolved into the Pearl Izumi brand. In the five decades since, the company Kinji founded has continued working hard to make the best gear possible for dedicated athletes and weekend warriors. From incredibly lightweight Pearl Izumi shoes to sleek, comfortable Pearl Izumi running apparel, few other brands have the same relentless drive toward innovation as Pearl Izumi.
