Verified Buyer Reviewed by jillyjill from So California on Tuesday, October 28, 2014This is my second pair of Pearl Izumi cycling shorts and they fit about the same (size L), which is a great fit! Works great with my body. My first pair are still workable/usable but threadbare after two years of cycling - which attests to the durability of this product! Pearl Izumi has great products in general - very high quality.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by MWSLLC from Albuquerque, NM on Sunday, October 12, 2014These are the best I've found so far to replace my favorite Attack shorts which haven't been made like they used to in a while. Once I got used to the waist on these not being so snug, I really liked it better than ones with elastic. They are correct about the "trim" fit. I wore a L in the Attacks so ordered a L in these. I think these are a bit smaller and wouldn't be uncomfortable in an XL. The padding in these is much thicker than I've found on many others (especially the Canari brand, which have no padding at all). It seems to hit me in the right places and although it was not comfortable on the first ride, it has "worn in" a little after a few washings and is much more comfortable. The leg grippers are very sticky so if you have large legs or don't like that on shorts, it may bother you on these. I am 5'7", 140 lbs, with good-sized hips and a small waist.

Verified Buyer Reviewed by Kristi from Holmen, WI on Thursday, June 26, 2014Size fits great. I ordered a medium and am 5' 6" and 125 lbs. They are very comfortable and worked great on my first 30+ mile ride.
Reviewed by Brandyjane1947 from St. George, UT on Saturday, June 21, 2014I emailed this site to ask what year they were because I wanted the 2013. Black and White pair after asking ended up being 2012, sent back and had to pay shipping, reordered in solid black and they were the correct year made that I wanted 2012/2013. I wish they would add what year the shorts are made as it makes a lot of difference quite often. None the less I am quite happy with the black ones and I am a heavier woman usually wear an 18W. Padding on these for me is awesome! Best PI's I have ever bought for comfort and I ride usually 3 20 mile rides a week.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Urban Dweller from Colorado on Saturday, June 14, 2014Definitely the best biking shorts I've ever owned. They are incredibly well made and fit very nicely.

Verified Buyer Reviewed by Living above 9000 feet from southwest colorado on Monday, April 7, 2014Strange shape to them with the stitching not lining up. They might work for someone else but not a person with larger legs. Sorry to say I have to return them.
Reviewed by Elizabeth from New York City on Monday, March 24, 2014Overall these fit, but are on the small side for sure. The waist rides low, but the padding seems really good. I like the pipping and touch of color at leg openings, it is nice to match with a jacket and /or shirt color -- just fun.
Reviewed by Mother Earth from Florida on Saturday, March 22, 2014After reading so many positive reviews, I thought
I had really found the perfect shorts! So dissapointed, the
Material was nice enough, padding was too thick, I like
Longer legs too! I've been riding road bike for over
25 years and I guess I'm just used to old styles and quality!
