4.0 out of 5 stars. Nice Shorts
Reviewed by MTB'er from California on Friday, July 5, 2013
I have several pieces of cycling clothing from Pearl Izumi and fit perfectly into a Medium. However, these shorts ran very small all over. Returned them for a Large and the waist is fairly loose, but manageable. They are very light weight, comfortable, and have a nice pocket on the bottom of the left leg and a small rear pocket both with zippers. Bought the white/purple to go with any color of top. I do alot of mountain riding and these shorts are great.

  • 3.0 out of 5 stars. Zipper Issue
Reviewed by Gears for Beers from Wisconsin on Tuesday, August 13, 2013
I ordered a medium and a large not knowing which size I would fit for an upcoming trip. The medium fir but the zipper on the waist band was an issue. It would stick on a piece of fabric. I returned.

  • 3.0 out of 5 stars. Coolottes
Reviewed by Claud in St. Paul from St. Paul on Wednesday, June 19, 2013
I can't say there was anything wrong with these but they flare more at the bottom of the shorts than I liked giving a coolotte look. The material was really nice and I liked the zippered pockets but these features were not enough to keep the shorts. They ran true to size.

About Pearl Izumi

Before Kinji Shimizu created the first Pearl Izumi cycling apparel, he spent nearly seven days a week on his bike delivering 90 pounds of clothes to customers. He frequently pedaled 38 miles a day. Years later, after his son received a special Italian-made cycling jersey, Kinji was inspired to start creating his own using the best fabrics he could find. The result soon evolved into the Pearl Izumi brand. In the five decades since, the company Kinji founded has continued working hard to make the best gear possible for dedicated athletes and weekend warriors. From incredibly lightweight Pearl Izumi shoes to sleek, comfortable Pearl Izumi running apparel, few other brands have the same relentless drive toward innovation as Pearl Izumi.
