I'm 6' tall and 175 pounds. I bought the "large", which fit well. This short seems to have a fairly long inseam and the cuffs grip well and are adequately tight. The short is fairly short-waisted. Sizes run big and the chamois is huge. Won’t buy Pearl Izumi again!
  • Good short, great padding.

Shorts appear to be well made. Padding is the thickest/densest I have ever seen on a short--can't wait to try them on a long ride, but it's still too cold here for now. Material is less stretchy vs. Pearl Izumi shorts I've owned in the past. That makes me question how long they'll wear.

Haven't really worn much yet, but they seem good. 5'9 155lb ordered medium and they fit fine.

The short is fairly short-waisted. The chamois is different than most other shorts I own. It is larger, lacks the molded panels, and the last layer closest to the body is separate from the underlying materials and "floats over them with movements. I have worn them on rides of a few miles to 35 miles. They seem comfortable. I can say little about durability at this point. The price with my discount was the best I could find on the internet for a P.R.O. short.

About Pearl Izumi

Before Kinji Shimizu created the first Pearl Izumi cycling apparel, he spent nearly seven days a week on his bike delivering 90 pounds of clothes to customers. He frequently pedaled 38 miles a day. Years later, after his son received a special Italian-made cycling jersey, Kinji was inspired to start creating his own using the best fabrics he could find. The result soon evolved into the Pearl Izumi brand. In the five decades since, the company Kinji founded has continued working hard to make the best gear possible for dedicated athletes and weekend warriors. From incredibly lightweight Pearl Izumi shoes to sleek, comfortable Pearl Izumi running apparel, few other brands have the same relentless drive toward innovation as Pearl Izumi.
