Most Helpful 5-Star Review
Reviewed by Soccer and running nut from El Paso, TX on Tuesday, November 28, 2017I have three Pearl Izumi PRO jackets from three years ago. Discontinued styles. Time to look for new ones. Great look, warmth, HOWEVER, I cannot give it 5 stars because they fit SMALL. I had to send the jacket back and get a large when I use a medium. The back pocket is a little difficult to get to. One owner says you have to be flexible to use it, I agree! LOL. Otherwise, this is a very good jacket for the price.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by James from Wisconsin on Wednesday, November 22, 2017It was getting down to 30-40 degrees for my fall mountain biking escapades here in Wisconsin and I had been layering a Pearl Izumi hard shell jacket over a Kodiak light jersey over a light weight long sleeve compression shirt. Problems - breathability and bulk. Pearl Izumi soft shell jacket - problem solved! This is one versatile jacket. I now wear it alone over a long sleeve undershirt and my body temperature has been perfect. Need a little more insulation, wear a warmer undershirt such as UA's Cold Gear. Get a little warm, unzip the side vents. Fits like a glove. Only downside is that the access to the rear pockets is limited to the very flexible. If your phone rings and you just gotta take it, good luck getting to the centered and zippered rear pocket quickly to answer it. An outside "jersey-like" pocket would have been a nice feature. Or a large front pocket. There is a small pocket on the front breast big enough to hold your car keys or a couple tissues, but that's it. The rear pocket does have nice capacity and separate storage sleeves in it though. If you were on the fence about this jacket, buy it now before they're gone.
