With the caveat that I've only taken one ride with these so I can't comment on their long term durability, my initial impression is that these are some of the most comfortable bibs I've ever worn. The fabric throughout is light and breaths well, while also providing good compression around the legs.... Read More

I'm 6'4" 180lbs. The mediums fit great! Great chamois. Great price. I don't know how they can sell them so cheaply.

as stated above, these are snug. I am 5'9" 155 lbs and always buy med in PI, these are snugger than usual but not so much that i would go a size larger

Pearl Izumi bib shorts have been my choice for over a decade, and these are a fantastic value. The contoured synthetic chamois fits correctly and is very comfortable (only about 40 miles of roller riding so far, but every pedal stroke of that is in the saddle). Slightly annoying and large tag inside, and Pearl Izumi has changed their sizing--I had to return a medium for a large (32 inch waist, but large thighs). Their large size now fits me like their medium used to (I still have two pair of mediums from 4 and six years ago, no I'm not getting fatter, thank you).

I've put about 12hrs on the trainer with these so far and really like them. Chamois is comfortable and I like the wide shoulder straps. True to size.

These are excellent shorts that are some of the best value in bib shorts out there. The chamois is a noticeable improvement (softer, smoother) over the 'Elite'-level shorts, while those are good shorts in their own right. These are a tight fit, definitely tighter than the Elites and tighter than some other brands size Medium. I find myself in-between medium and large in Pearl Izumi sizing (I am 5'10" 148 pounds). I go with the Mediums, which give a compression fit, but can wear large too. The leg bands are excellent, wide and comfortable. On me these shorts are not as long as some other brands, which gives them an advantage in hot weather.

About Pearl Izumi

Before Kinji Shimizu created the first Pearl Izumi cycling apparel, he spent nearly seven days a week on his bike delivering 90 pounds of clothes to customers. He frequently pedaled 38 miles a day. Years later, after his son received a special Italian-made cycling jersey, Kinji was inspired to start creating his own using the best fabrics he could find. The result soon evolved into the Pearl Izumi brand. In the five decades since, the company Kinji founded has continued working hard to make the best gear possible for dedicated athletes and weekend warriors. From incredibly lightweight Pearl Izumi shoes to sleek, comfortable Pearl Izumi running apparel, few other brands have the same relentless drive toward innovation as Pearl Izumi.
