Excellent, quality jersey. Can be worn with thin base layer for cooler temps (40s). Very nice form fit

  • Way too small!

This seems like good quality however Pearl Izumi really missed the boat on the sizing on this one. I usually wear a medium and even the large was too tight. You would want a base layer underneath or you will have the plastic feeling material sticking against your skin. Contrary to what one review said, the wind proof material does have some stretch in it.

Excellent wind-proof jersey as you would expect from Pearl Izumi P.R.O. There is no stretch in the wind-proof fabric on the front, and I had to exchange a medium for a large to be able to breathe. (Other Pearl Izumi long sleeve medium jerseys fit me fine, but I have a PI wind jacket (large) that's just barely big enough.) This inconsistency in sizing earns a demotion to 4 stars. P.S. Expect some dampness. Wearing this is a little like wearing a windbreaker without a jersey underneath.

  • Fits Tight which a Jersey is suppose to

It's been to hot to wear this, however the quality seems great, I ordered the M, and it's a race type fit, no room under it for layering. I'm 5'10" 155# as a guide. I like all my Pearl product and I'm sure when it gets colder I love this one to.

This is a great jersey, but it could be sold out before I finish this review. It reminds me of the PI 180 jacket I bought a few years back on STP, with soft shell material on the front and moisture transfer on the back. This is definitely a form fit, similar to the 180, so size up if in doubt.

About Pearl Izumi

Before Kinji Shimizu created the first Pearl Izumi cycling apparel, he spent nearly seven days a week on his bike delivering 90 pounds of clothes to customers. He frequently pedaled 38 miles a day. Years later, after his son received a special Italian-made cycling jersey, Kinji was inspired to start creating his own using the best fabrics he could find. The result soon evolved into the Pearl Izumi brand. In the five decades since, the company Kinji founded has continued working hard to make the best gear possible for dedicated athletes and weekend warriors. From incredibly lightweight Pearl Izumi shoes to sleek, comfortable Pearl Izumi running apparel, few other brands have the same relentless drive toward innovation as Pearl Izumi.
